@Mehrad Yup, the experience is absolutely amazing, better than any mainstream Linux mobile distro imo
The animations are smooth, the gestures are great and everything is just so polished (oh no am I turning to AI by saying 3 examples? 🥲).
The android compatibility layer isn't available on community ports unfortunately, but the community has gotten waydroid to work, which is pretty nice.
My only major remaining issue was the browser, I think it was based on gecko, but a really old version. 1/2
The solar installers finally came out to look at our malfunctioning microinverters. Turns out the wires on the roof have been chewed on. By squirrels. And they made nests under the panels.
So one of the panels needs replaced and we need to get someone to install squirrel guard around the panels.
In the morning I wrote a blog post and a miniessay.
Then I spent almost 10 hours building my Pokedex Binder project.
And then I got another cool idea, built a demo, wrote some instructions and will turn it into a new talk that I can hopefully deliver in some meetups and conferences.

🚗 The Rivian R2 is finally reaching customers, and it is the compact EV meant to take on the Tesla Model Y.
Rivian revealed the R2, R3 and R3X back in March 2024 on a brand new midsize platform. R2 deliveries finally started June 9, 2026, leading with a dual-motor Performance trim that makes 656 hp, hits 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and carries 330 miles of EPA range.
The standout features are all real. Dual screens up front, all five seats that fold flat into one big sleeping surface, and a power rear window that rolls down like an old wagon. The quickest tri-motor setup is still promised to do 0 to 60 in under 3 seconds.
Two reality checks on the hype. The $45,000 base model everyone was promised does not arrive until late 2027, and with destination it lands at $46,495. And the federal $7,500 EV tax credit was repealed for cars acquired after September 30, 2025, so current buyers get nothing, putting the launch trim at $59,485.
