Minecraft nerds! My kids really wanted to play Minecraft, so I set up Prism on my Steam Deck with the Controlify mod so that they can play it from the sofa with a controller. It seems fine if a little rough around the edges. But... should I instead go the Bedrock Launcher route to run the Android version (with native controller support)? Or wait for the Switch 2 version and give them that in a few months?

stuff like the pill badges aren't in the #gnome HIG yet, but whenever I see an app use them, it makes me happy.
don't overdo it, but it can really help sprinkling some badges and icons throughout your app when it looks plain. humans are made to remember and recognise anchor locations when navigating through the world.

@chadmccullough I believe you were trying to achieve what is called "nomadic identity" and is only supported by a select few fediverse platforms, GTS and Mastodon are not among them atm. Hubzilla, (streams), Forte, maybe Mitra too
I got to say, I did that between a Hubzilla instance and my own Hubzilla instance and it wasn't 100% smooth either, automatic tool failed because of instance version mismatch, but importing manually files worked
@chrishannah I don't get the EDC thing. Keys, wallet, phone. That's it. If I'm heading to the office, it's different as I have my work stuff, but that's not everyday, so it's not an everyday carry.
Even the wallet is optional these days, what with contactless payments being everywhere.
