It's spam, they are sending them to everyone that they can find an email address for in the hope that some people are fooled by it. They seem to get the email addresses from public websites that people list in their profiles.
@Codeberg For a few seconds I got a working codeberg connection. This leads me to the conclusion that the problem is on the perimeter and not on the core service itself. But that's just educated guesswork. It does give me hope that the service will be restored soon and dataloss will not be a problem. @codebergstatus

@cstross @davidgerard I guess the main reason and USP (Unique Selling Point) for offshore datacenters (and those in space) will be "Run your illegal workloads at a place that is definitely outside of any jurisdiction so no one can seize your machines and data !1!!".
