TechCrunch recapping a simulated vending machine experiment from Andon Labs using GPT-5.6 Sol, Opus 5, and Kimi K3:
"Sol soon realized it could gain an edge by convincing its competitors to collude on a price floor. The models were all buying drinks at $1.50 a bottle, and Sol proposed they agree to sell for no less than $2.15. It lured them with the promise that all of them would sell out in a couple of days at a profit.
But when the others agreed, Sol immediately stabbed them in the back by reducing its own price to $2.14."
There’s a lot more after that. Don’t make your AI the CEO quite yet.

Also GTS statt bspw. eine fullblown Mastodon Instanz? Also ich hab meinen Alt Account als GTS Instanz und es ist recht spannend, wie mit der Zeit deine Instanz mehr und mehr andere Fedi Instanzen findet.
@hugovalters Bullshit. Get your data updated and fix your website instead of spreading fud.
It's very funny that e.g. https://www.valtersit.com/cve/CVE-2023-37327/ claims to be "unpatched" and at the top says that it's fixed in 1.22.5, contains completely wrong information (just follow your own NVD link and compare: it's describing completely different issues), and a wrong patch for code that does not even exist in this shape in 1.22.5 or any other version.
Not enough that we have to deal with a flood of new issues reported thanks to LLMs, on top of that we also have to deal with clowns like you.
@aleciabatson Thanks for that reminder! And congrats on booking your gig! ✌️
I've also had to work at changing the "weight" of how I feel about compliments vs. criticisms/bad news…otherwise praise might go in one ear and out the other, whereas the bad stuff might send me into a tailspin. 😭
Good interview with Greg Brochman from Joanna Stern. They talk about the ChatGPT + Codex redesign mess. Greg says the long-term goal is to get rid of the Work tab completely. I think that will help… There are two many overlapping modes right now.
Yes, the Wobblies (that’s how IWW members call themselves) have a tumultuous history, but their radical, fundamental ideas are becoming more relevant nowadays. Everyone is welcome to join, organisation is decentralised and they stick to their philosophy. I think we all could and should learn from them on how to organise.
The first miniessay from this morning is about how I think Taskmaster's prize task at the start of each episode is a crucial bit of worldbuilding within the show and how series that don't do it well, suffer from it.
