awh. I just looked up Juju's Cafe in Brum. I used to live very close to it and had quite a few very excellent breakfasts in there: it was the sort of place that did a slightly frou-frou fry-up (wild boar sausage rather than a greasy spoon; I like both) but I was up that way a few weeks ago and it was a building site. I thought I'd see when it might re-open and... https://www.jujuscafe.co.uk says that Jules died! I didn't know that. That sucks. Sorry to hear that, Jules's family. I liked your mum!
TIL (Today I learned): As part of the EU AI Act transparency rules, the EU has created a Code of Practice on marking and labelling of AI-generated content [1] that comes with icons [2] to use to mark AI-generated or modified content. As they say:
"The use of these EU icons is optional, but the labelling requirements under Article 50 AI Act are not."
@nobodyinperson Yea, ultrawide aside the sensors are _fine_, not award-winning but I don't think (hope) anyone was expecting that. So hopefully the new Jolla Phone will continue to sell well and they'll be able to invest that extra cash into a bunch of areas of Sailfish OS.
Still would take cameras being mid and all the freedom I get with SFOS over having S-tier cameras but no real control over my device!
After KPMG and EY published and then retracted papers which it turned out were AI generated and contained errors throughout about how great AI is, PwC have done exactly the same thing.
