I’ve been thinking about this too. I blogged years ago in February that I read or skim everything. Still mostly true, but there’s more skimming, and I no longer read unit tests.

@verge Lovely keyboard when it works. Volume knob gave up after a few years. The support pad is covered in a faux leather that started coming off too. I moved on to a Ducky.

@jtr YouTube is now working as of today! That’s right, you upload to Micro.blog, it puts the video on your blog with HTTP live streaming, then if YouTube is enabled it also copies the video to YouTube.

Writing detailed alt-text for my images has turned out to be a real joy for me on my blog and on fedi.

It makes you stop and think deeply about what a photograph or piece of art actually is. It's like ekphrastic meditation.

Please always write alt-text for images.
