The poor buzzard was still there when I was walking the dogs this morning, so clearly something was wrong. Luckily my wife was able to get hold of a local falconer who was able to catch him and hopefully nurse him back to health. 🦅
The AV experts came in this morning to review my setup for the all-hands meeting tomorrow morning. Both gave it a thumbs up and actually complimented me on my work. Feather, cap, say hello.
"So this little firmware change causes destructive vibrations in almost all pumps at gas stations?" "Yep. And I have used some bugs in the price update system to deploy it at almost all gas stations in the country. I am just waiting for the right moment to give the GO command." "And it'll take weeks to get the replacement parts produced?" "Yep. No shortcuts possible." "What are you waiting for?"
"Far from the distorted caricature of Luddites as curmudgeonly, puritanical tsk-tsk’ers, the new Luddites attract people to their movement through playfulness and participation."
Yo, I'm heading up a brand-new community project. 👥
We write code by hand. 🤚🏽⌨️
It's a growing opt-in directory of software developers who write code by hand. When you hear someone tell you “nobody does that” you can point to this and say “well these folks do.”
If you're #ProCraft and care about the future of handcrafted software, please add yourself to the list! I'd love to see this grow to 100s of signatories (I know y'all are out there!) and really send a message.
