"What an upside world when Chinese open-weight models will tell us about Tiananmen Square, but American frontier models won't translate a blog post. Not even Kubrick saw that coming." https://world.hey.com/dhh/i-m-sorry-dave-380ec27d
We built a clever AI filter feature into Loops where content or posts can be labeled as AI, and every member of our community can opt to hide all AI content from feeds (across web + mobile).
You can also report untagged AI content, and admins can apply auto AI labelling to local and remote accounts (with optional backfilling).
We need to bring this to Pixelfed, so our community can take advantage of this too!
There is a weather service on the Fediverse called FediMeteo providing forecasts in your timeline for cities and towns around the world:
1. Go to https://fedimeteo.com
2. Click your country
3. Click your town/city
4. Copy-paste the Fediverse address (looks like @ something @ something ) into the search box in Mastodon etc
5. Click follow in Mastodon etc
(Don't worry if it looks blank, it just means no one from your server follows that account yet.)
Just a reminder that a lot of these new Loops features we've worked hard on will be coming to Pixelfed later this year.
Starter Kits/Collections, Group Chats and proper threaded comments are the big ones, and we're also refactoring the backend to fix tons of bugs you've reported and make the whole experience more stable and frictionless.
Once @dansup gets back from FediCon, he plans to spend August preparing the new mobile app (Android + iOS) and web UI for release.
I just clicked on the menu item that I hoped was the issues list. Or ticket list. Or Might Become A MR One Day list. I don't care, just give me the stupid list and stop opening popups.
Platforms have decided it's OK to host spam. They think it's OK to spam their user base. They think scamming people with endless slop spam is a great experience.
