@ohyran He lives in Iran (hence the crypto). So not only is he doing the work but he's also has to deal with military operations. I think back in April he said some missile had hit some area a few neighborhoods over.
Just so you know how much JustPerfection does for GNOME Extensions, he gets approximately 40-45 extension review requests a day. I don't know how he has the time but he's become very efficient at it.
If you're an extension developers and you have a crypto account - please send a little to JP. If you care about GNOME extensions, he's a one man army.
Übrigens. Wenn ein Tatverdächtiger stirbt, werden die Ermittlungen gegen ihn/ihr eingestellt. Das hilft dann manchmal auch unangenehme Fragen gar nicht erst beantworten zu müssen. Oops. (Rechtsgrundlage: §204, §206a StPO)
@alatiera I’d be shocked if Debian figures out something any time soon; the GR is likely not going to end up with a ban, given the amount of libertarian maximalists in the project, so I fully expect it to end up with “none of the above” winning—if it even gets to a vote
In Woche dreißig ist das Sommerloch auch in der FOSS-Welt gut angekommen. Bei Mozilla (Firefox und Thunderbird) sowie Element ist aber dennoch ein wenig passiert.
@hbons @nekohayo @chergert @pwithnall “I did not vibe code it! I did not vibe code it!!”, i continue to insist as i slowly shrink and transform into a corn cob
@ebassi @nekohayo @chergert @pwithnall finding "I simply did not know how to write in Vala / gtk" and "I did not 'vibe code' or anything like that," in the same paragraph is just...wow.
Like: after two months with just an induction plate, I finally have a cooker; it’s been installed, and it works. Of course, it also has some defect in the gaskets for the oven and grill doors, which will require somebody to come check it out and fix it—or even replace it. So by next week I might not have a cooker.
@ebassi @nekohayo @chergert @pwithnall wow this is something else. we should really hire a community psychologist to research what is behind this weird behaviour on a massive scale...
@nekohayo @chergert @pwithnall the fork button is right there! Call it something else, and publish it on slophub or whatever. Why open a merge request?!
After nearly three months of work, I finally accepted Zeno’s kitchen paradox: the list of things to do to finish the job constantly halves, but it never truly ends
@boeckmann That was my biggest concern, too, but so far the NUC 16 has been completely silent. That said, I’ve only used it for normal everyday tasks so far and haven’t pushed the CPU to its limits yet. But even during installation, updates, unpacking files, etc.—tasks that really put a strain on the CPU—you can’t hear the fan at all!!
