@jalefkowit reminds me of the time I once left the placeholder “poop@poop.com” on a mergers and acquisitions portal backend.

The signers of these huge $ deals all had to backspace out “poop@poop.com”.

They were not amused.

I mean, I'm shocked too that a computer program maker in 2026 was able to accidentally create a computer program that works!

After all, available data seems to point to the IT industry having utterly forgotten how to perform such a feat…

Tested Omarchy on an 8GB machine. It's well under 2GB for the cold boot. Then with nvim+tmux, 20 Chrome tabs, Spotify, a writing app, and an image editor it's ~5GB. So still ~3GB free before any swap. 8GB is enough for a terminal + browser + creature comforts machine!
