@sortova definitely. I was drill from the inside of my house to the outside. I could have hit any number of things (deck joists, decking, metal lathe behind parting, etc).

There was also a concern that a bit that big would bite suddenly and twist my arm around into a knot.

But all was well: a clean, 1.5” hole from basement to under my deck to run fibre out to my garage.

@numericcitizen It is sometimes tempting. 🙂 I think a single app would be worse, though, and it’s nice that people can replace parts of this with custom clients.

@drmike "not speaking the language" is a weird way to say "not speaking English". Most people (especially the younger generation) speak English in Austria, especially in the bigger cities. Same applies to Germany. In the more Eastern countries it gets more difficult.

@theTangentSpace I'd love to be able to recommend micro.blog as a solution, but I can't.
