Back 13-ish years ago, I wrote a browser-based puzzle game. JS was horribly slow back then but I heard that the RegEx engine was highly optimized in WebKit. So I implemented the entire games logic in RegEx. Very fun challenge to develop and it was quite fast.
@flwwhtrbt I'm looking forward for a job where I'll be forced to use as little AI as possible. I hate how everything turns out in this world. It feels like all these companies are literally eating into our civilization.

@alice the main difference between GTK and Qt is that, with the latter, you can pay somebody to read your bug reports; and if you have a lot of money, you could even get somebody to fix them at some point in the future. Maybe.

@ainmosni @masek @koehntopp thing is: I am not a sysadmin (anymore). I don't know what I don't know when it comes to a lot of stuff, and the chances that I'll ruin a home setup that is a collection of random bits from random corners of the internet are pretty high.
Using a single vendor NAS with its own supported OS and UI gives me a higher chance of keeping the baseline intact. Of course I'll ruin one of my custom docker containers on there occasionally, but those aren't critical to the main system.
But because the Synology DSM hides the command line from me, because I am not touching certain innards, which I'd need to touch if I self-build something, I have a certain peace of mind.
